evo = lighter than z06 and z06 is fr which means the chance of it spinning out when you gun it....evo = 4wd which gets power to all its wheels so it has more traction..

Ernest, know what ur talking about before u make a stupid comment. For one, the Vette weighs less than the EVO. And 2, AWDs always lose more power from the flywheel to the ground because it goes thru more things before it gets to the ground.

Well the vette is 2-300 pounds heavier then the vette. With no camera man i n the vette it might have won the race. And by looking at the vettes speed o looked the race reached close to 180mph thats fast as hell for a street race.

The car has 630awdhp.....+traction and different gearing.....damn vette own ers just can't except a spanking like men. i ahve beaten plenty of ZO6s f rom a roll to 150 mph and I only run high elevens and have have low 400awd hp.

Well just looking at the video again the evo had more HP. It says at 30psi it has 601HP but then near the top it says tuned by AMS at 33psi so that b rings the evo to near 650HP. But still a great video and race.

Hahaha.. who cares.. the vette lost.. a win is a win.. and no I am not a ri cer because of me saying this. It just makes sense. Oh he lost psi and uhh .. you begin to sound like when ricers said i ran out of NOS. Awsome vid.. I would like to see them at the track where the EVO would pull 2-3 car le ngths on him.. hahahaha.. and then what are you going to say.. boost is displacement.... displacement is how much air you are DISPLACING.. . n/a is inefficient it can only suck air in so it doesn't get as much as boosted motors... a small motor can push as much air as a bigger one if it s boost.... thats DISPLACING AIR. a 630hp v8 is displacing the same air as a 630hp 4 cylinder you moron.

Dyno's are not 100% accurate. The more HP you make, the more they can be o ff by the "SAE correction" the tuner must use. The Evo would of course have to have similar power to the Z06 to stay even or beat the Z06 . Gearing though does not show up on HP and the guy very well may have th at done. Who knows. My mechanic ran 9's in his 1996 Eagle Talon with a 2 .4L motor and trapped over 150MPH. Domestic guys, anything can be fast.

Looked like an even race to me. Whoever had a fender ahead at the end of ea ch run only did so because of a fraction of a head start either way. Neith er of the two cars were pulling on the other. My opinion was that 601hp on the EVO was a lowball number. If you call that a spanking awarded t o either car, you're an idiot, and you need to go experiance some more rac es.

Yea it also cost $65,000 , while the evo is 36,000! So then spend another 1 5,000 on the evo to make it better and then beat your corvette all day! An d still cheaper!
